Unique Holistic Therapy:
- Registered Nurse. Steve has over 40 years experience as a registered nurse. He became a certified massage therapist with advanced massage and bodywork training and certifications.
- Holisitic Therapy. Steve takes a holistic approach to wellness considering the whole person—body, mind and spirit. All body systems are connected for health and healing.
- Women’s Health Focus. Steve has an understanding and training to provide healing therapy to women. Optimum health and wellness considers the effects of life experiences and symptoms most common with women.
- Advanced Women’s Health Training and Certifications. Steve has unique bodywork training for women, including therapy of the abdomen, chest and pelvis. He is certrified for fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and breast therapy. Advanced training in myofascial release, certified lymphatic drainage massage, Maya abdomen aherapy and Thai abdomen therapy. These modalities facilitate healing with menstrual, digestive, reproductive and stress-related concerns.
- Stress and Trauma. Most health concerns and disease are related to stress that affect the body, mind and spirit. Women often have unique life experiences that may impair wellness, including PTSD. Revive Therapy focuses on release of stored tension, stress, and trauma.
Fertility
Fertility and conception is supported with advanced bodywork by an RN and certified fertility massage therapist. Natural conception is enhanced with unique expert holistic therapy. Medical assisted fertility (IVF, IUI, etc.) is optimized with compassionate therapy integrating all body systems support the “ignition” of new life.
Pregnancy and Prenatal Massage Therapy
In the hands of a certified prenatal massage therapist, pregnancy massage is safe in each trimester. Expert therapy will be relaxing, therapeutic and prepare you for an optimal labor and delivery experience — with fewer complications and improved baby health. Steve is one of only a few therapists in the area certified in prenatal massage therapy, and is also an instructor.
Breastfeeding and Lactation
Credential of Breast Therapist
Steve Metzger, RN is credentialed as a breast therapist and has advanced training and expertise to provide you with the highest quality of breast therapy. UC Davis Medical Center Lactation Program refers some of the more difficult cases to Revive Therapy. He can help with: Preparation before birth, starting lactation, improving milk production, difficult lactation and latching, weaning and overall breast health maintenance.
Postpartum Support
Postpartum massage can be as important and beneficial as prenatal massage following normal and complex deliveries. Expert therapy by the certified postpartum therapist, who is also an RN will enhance your healing and recovery. Your new role as mother will be supported by compassionate healing with a nurse providing advanced holistic therapy for hope, health, and healing in your transitions to your maternal role.
Pelvic Therapy
Pelvic issues are common and many women struggle to find a solution for a problem that impacts their daily life. Pelvic discomfort may be cyclical with menstrual periods or constant but should not impact your activities of daily living. Holistic and compassionate therapy can bring hope, health and healing for your difficult pelvic issues.
Lymphatic Drainage Therapy
Lymphatic drainage is gentle therapy that improves health by activating the lymphatic system. Moving water within the body reduces swelling, improves immunity, decreases pain and promotes detoxification.
